ABSTRACT
This study examined the Perception of Senior Secondary School (SSS) Students on Business Education in Ovia North-East, Edo State. A survey research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study consists of ten senior secondary schools in the area of study with a total number of 466 students. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire. The validity and reliability were ascertained with a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.81. Data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The findings revealed that the Perception of Senior Secondary School Students on Business Education in Ovia North East Local Government Area were largely influenced by Parents, Peer groups and the Students Gender. Based on the findings, the study recommends, among others, enlightenment programme for all stakeholders on the importance of business education to national development and career development. Integration of modern instructional technologies in teaching business studies and incorporate student-centered and interactive methods that fosters engagement, critical thinking and real world application at senior secondary school level.
