ABSTRACT
This study was carried out with the aim of investigating the knowledge and perception of family planning in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. The study reviewed a number of related literatures and used some descriptive statistical tools such as frequency table, pie chart and bar graph to analyse the data. The study found out that despite the availability of many health facilities in the study area, coupled with a very high awareness level on family planning, only few reproductive women are embracing the programme. Based on the findings, the study recommends aggressive public enlightenment campaign since awareness does not result in involvement on the job training for the health workers and improvement in the quality of service of family planning.
