Abstract
The Study investigated "Perception of Benin Residents towards Outdoor Advertising. The study adopted the survey method of research whereby 200 Questionnaire was administered to respondents' Findings revealed that billboard is the second most preferred advertising medium also that outdoor advertisement especially bill boards and transit are easily understandable and relatable The study concluded that, the main purpose of outdoor advertising is to create awareness of the existence of the product and services particularly newly introduced goods, products and broads. The research recommended that outdoor advertising creators especially billboards should explore the use of animations and similar types in outdoor advert copying rather than constant use of beautiful and attractive models.
