ABSTRACT
A global goal for the prevention and control of epidemics of NCDs and related risk factoris the identification of factors that help or hinder involvement in physical activity (World Health Organisation, 2013) with physiotherapist being the frontiers. The present studysuggests that to promote community based physical activity among adults, the neighbourhood should be safe from traffic. This evidence is also in line with one of the major focuses of physiotherapy practices for the twenty first century, which promotes evidence based intervention and altering assess and environmental barriers to support full PA participation in normal and expected social responsibilities in the country (World Confederation for Physical Therapy, 2011; Yolanda et al., 2017). Utilizing the evidence in community physiotherapy practices and health promotion is strategic to robust prevention and control of NCDs in Nigeria and will contribute to effective delivery of primary health care in the states of this region.
