ABSTRACT
The subject matter of this research work is to measure the perceived difficulties adult learners faced while learning and its effect on their academic performance in Egor local government area, Edo state. The total population of this study was four hundred and fifty-six (456), using a simple random sampling technique, the numbers of respondents became one hundred and ten (110). Four research questions were formulated to guide the study, from which the questionnaire was designed. From the analyzed data, it showed that adult learners in Egor LGA face numerous challenges that hinder their educational experience, including improper teaching tools, lack of printed materials, cultural barriers, poor facilities (such as leaking roofs), inadequate furniture (smaller chairs), and cramped classrooms. Adult learners also struggle with balancing their educational pursuits with other commitments such as work and family responsibilities, which negatively impacts their participation
