This study examined parental attitudes towards adolescent sexuality in Ovia North East Local Government area of Edo State, with the aim of objectives to determine if adolescent self-esteem in Ovia North-East Local Government of Edo State influences their transition; to find out the extent communication with adolescent by the parent will influences adolescent and their decision; to determine if peer pressure affects adolescent sexuality and to find out the extent cultural belief plays in adolescent sexuality in Ovia North-East Local Government area of Edo State. The work covers the parental attitude towards adolescent sexuality in Ovia North-East local government area of Edo state in achieving the objectives of quality parenting and also a better nation. However, adequate households was sampled for the purpose of this study to make results more generalizable. The population of the study consists of hundred and twenty (120) families in Ovia North-East Local Government Area in Benin metropolis of Edo state. From the hundred and twenty (120) families, hundred and five (105) was selected through the process of stratified random sampling the number of families in Ovia North-East Local Government Area Edo State. The number of families that was selected from the local government that makes up the Benin metropolis are not uniformly distributed, from the 120 families 105 families was picked randomly. The instrument used for the data collection was the questionnaire which has 20 questions which covers parent attitude and perception regarding to female adolescent sexuality in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo state Nigeria. The data collected was presented in frequency tables as well, was illustrated in simple percentage. The statistical analysis that was used was the Z-test statistics. A 5% level of significance was used to determine the rejection or acceptance decision of the hypotheses that will be tested. Lastly conclusion and recommendations was given from the findings.
