SUMMARY
Scientists and researchers worldwide have deemed it fit to come up with an alternative to fossil fuels due to its ever-increasing demand and nonrenewability(Gabhane et al., 2011). This trend has also been established for reasons such as increase in the price of crude oil, laws put in place to restrict the utilization of non-renewable energy sources and concerns about climate change and global warming(García et al., 2011). This alternative energy source is called biofuel and this presentation will throw more light on the processes that are undergone, leading to its production (with biobutanol as a case study), as well as the optimization of these processes.
