ABSTRACT

This research explores how efficiently manufacturers use their resources and how this impacts their success. The study focuses on factories in Benin, Nigeria, and surveys a variety of companies, both large and small. I give questionnaires to different departments within each company to get a complete picture of how things operate.

The study’s empirical thrust is manifested through the administration of 100 questionnaires, meticulously designed to elicit responses across various strata within the selected firms. The data collection spans multiple departments, ensuring a holistic portrayal of the firms’ operational dynamics. The research posits that a firm’s ability to judiciously allocate and employ its resources is a critical determinant of its competitive edge and financial success.

The core idea is that using resources wisely is a major factor in how well a company does in the competitive manufacturing industry. By analyzing the data collected, I hope to uncover practical ways for manufacturers to optimize their resources. This information will be valuable to business owners, policymakers, and anyone interested in improving the manufacturing sector. Ultimately, the study aims to show the clear link between how well resources are used and how well a company performs, paving the way for a more efficient and prosperous manufacturing industry. This information won't just be helpful for company owners; it has the potential to be valuable for policymakers and anyone else who wants to see the Nigerian manufacturing sector thrive. By showing a clear link between resource utilization and company performance, the study hopes to pave the way for a future where factories operate at peak efficiency, leading to a more prosperous and competitive industry overall.
