ABSTRACT
The work of an estate agent basically involves assembling a collection of properties for sale or lease, advertising them and securing buyers and tenants as the case may be. The estate agent must maintain key information about each property which must be readily available when dealing with a potential buyer or tenant. In most offices, this is done by recording all activities in a notebook or file and referring to it for information when required.
However as the number of property and client increases and are geographically dispersed, tracking changes in the circumstances of each property becomes burdensome, and there is difficulties in keeping track of those clients which are interested in a particular property. The most difficult of all is matching a client’s requirement to suitable property. This definitely will hamper effective estate management thus project work proposes an on-line estate management system that will bring both client, property and estate managers together irrespective of their location, numbers and interest; and thus allow negotiation to be carried out at the convinience of concerned parties. The system will provide a network environment where information about estate properties can be accessed through a website.
