ABSTRACT

This Work dealt With the Non-state Actors in International system, with focus on World Health Organization (W.H.O.). The study undertakes a conceptual definition of non-state actors as entities that participate or act in international relations; they are organizations with sufficient power to influence and cause a change even though they do not belong to any established institution of a state. It also discusses the objectives and challenges faced by non-state actors. The research Work discusses the roles played by the non-state actors especially W.H.O. The research adopted the secondary source as the method of research and was divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the concept of non-state actors; the chapter two discusses the historical background of W.H.O. while, the chapter three dwells on the involvement of W.H.O. in international relations. The fourth chapter concentrated on the role of W.H.O in international affairs. The last chapter gives a brief summary of the work as well as concluding remarks.
