ABSTRACT
This paper looks at how Nigeria's legislature shaped and influenced foreign policy under the Fourth Republic. It examines the National Assembly's role in the formulation, execution, and supervision of Nigeria's foreign relations from 1999 to the present. This study illuminates the dynamics between the executive and legislative branches in international affairs by conducting a thorough examination of legislative debates, committee activities, and policy consequences. By highlighting major trends, difficulties, and triumphs, the report sheds light on Nigeria's legislature's changing position in the country's foreign engagement.
