ABSTRACT
This research work examined the Bakassi Peninsula Crisis and how it was also resolved by the International Court of Justice ICJ. The concept of conflict was also looked at and the various types of conflicts with specific emphasis on the international conflict, the mechanism for the resolution of international conflict was also explored, it further looked into the origin of the Bakassi conflict which was discovered that this conflict dates as far back as a 100 years ago, when Nigeria and the Southern part of Cameroon was administered by the British.1 The scope of the conflict also examined how both countries were affected by this conflict.
