ABSTRACT
This study focused on the effect of marketing logistics on customer delivery services in Benin City, Edo State. Specifically, a total of three hundred and eighty-five (385) questionnaires were distributed to customers of grocery stores in Benin City, Edo state, out of which same (385) sets of questionnaires were retrieved, cleaned and used for this analysis indicating a response rate of 100%. Descriptive statistics and regression analysis was adopted to carry out the study’s analysis. Specifically, the regression analysis revealed the following that: there is a significant influence of transportation management on customer delivery services, warehousing and storage practices significantly impacts customer delivery services, that inventory management does not significantly affect customer delivery services, there is no significant relationship between order processing efficiency and customer delivery services, and customer service plays a significant role on customer delivery services. Based on these findings, the following recommendations were made: businesses should prioritize enhancing their transportation networks and capabilities, Companies should consider adopting advanced warehousing technologies such as automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) that can help in optimizing space use and improving the accuracy of stock management, businesses should explore ways to integrate inventory management with other logistics components using integrated software solutions, emphasis should be placed on refining customer service strategies, and businesses should conduct regular reviews of their logistics and customer service strategies, incorporating insights from data analytics to ensure continual improvement.
