ABSTRACT The importance of up-to-date map in structural and infrastructural development of any organization both in digital and hardcopy cannot be overemphasized especially a university. Therefore, this project seeks to provide solution to the issue of inadequate maps in the project area which is phase one of the University of Benin, Ugbowo campus. This project will leverage on the use of new technology in surveying particularly GNSS receiver to acquire data for creating different maps and components useful for adequate and proper planning both now and in future. The major field survey operation includes reconnaissance which involves field and office reconnaissance, the geometric data acquisition was carried out using the GNSS receiver for collecting the necessary data needed for the completion of the project The results of this project work are presented in the form of perimeter plan demarcating the project boundary, contour map, Digital Terrain Model and the Digital Elevation Model, spot heights of the project and water flow direction map more analysis can be carried out to the show the difference in elevation within the project area.
