ABSTRACT

This project explores the Managerial Strategies employed in two prominent cultural institutions in Nigeria, the National Theatre and Terra Kulture, as paradigms for understanding the dynamics of theater management in both government and private sectors. To ensure the success of both public and private theatres, management of theatres is a complex process that calls for competent managerial practises. The numerous managerial techniques used in these sorts of theatres are examined in this abstract along with their effects on the theater's general performance. The study looks at how managerial approaches are similar and different in public and private theatres, and how these approaches impact the administrative, artistic, and financial aspects of the theatre. The study also explores the difficulties theatre managers have applying these methods and the steps they have taken to overcome those difficulties. The findings of this study are expected to provide insights into the best practices in theatre management and inform the development of effective managerial strategies for both government and private theatres.
