All male/men who may be victims of sexual abuse should be sensitized to sexual violence against men for fear of accentuating the problem. Counselling services for survivors of sexual assault should be opened up to men and women, though it is likely that different sessions will be required for the two sexes in order to encourage both to talk. Survivors should be able to choose the sex of their medical worker, counsellor and interpreter.
