ABSTRACT
Loan companies work by evaluating their loan applicants' financial records and deciding whether or not the borrower is too risky for a loan to be issued. If the applicant is not, then the company determines the terms of the loan. To acquire this applicants, companies can organically receive them through their websites or mobile applications which is often with the help of advertisement campaigns, other times the lending companies partner with the peer-to-peer (P2P) lending marketplaces, in order to acquire leads of possible applicants. Some common marketplace examples are Lending Tree, Lending Club, Upstart. In this project, we developed a machine learning model that can help us to predict if a user will be eligible enough to get a loan using Lending Club dataset.
