ABSTRACT
The need to level a ground is important in the durability and functions of buildings in a fast developing city like benin. This project consist of the leveling of the terrain of university of benin, Benin city Edo state. the study area is part of river ethiope road to UBTH Back gate, to aid in planning and development. The scope of this project include; data acquisition, reconnaissance,topographic (leveling) survey, and report writing. The leveling survey data is acquired using the automatic level instrument and a leveling staff. Once the leveling surveying is done the elevation of the different points of the study area will be known.
