ABSTRACT
The level of utilization of mobilization strategies is crucial to community development. The objectives of this study includes ascertaining the level of utilization of capacity building for stakeholders , level of utilization of formation of coalitions, level of utilization of direct engagement of the community, and level of utilization of creation of partnerships as mobilization strategies. This study has also shown the constraints affecting the level of the utilization of mobilization strategies in community development. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire administered to 112 respondents from two communities in Umu-Nneochi local government area. Simple random sampling technique and purposive sampling technique were used for the study. The first stage was a purposive selection of a total of 2 communities based on accessed records that shows that the selected communities are utilizing community mobilization strategies. The second stage involves the use of random sampling to select respondents for the study from each community to get a total of 112 respondents.The data was analysed using descriptive statistics such as mean, frequency, count, percentages, standard error and tables, and Chi-square test.
