LEVEL OF DROPOUT AMONG UNDERGRADUATES

ABSTRACT

This study looked into the undergraduate dropout rate at the University of Benin in Benin City. Four research topics were posed and investigated in order to fulfill the study's objectives. One hundred undergraduates made up the study's sample size. The tool used to gather data was the questionnaire. For this study, a descriptive survey research design was chosen. Mean score was used in a data analysis. A selection criterion of 2.50 was applied to the criteria mean score. The study's conclusions show that undergraduates at the University of Benin, both male and female, in the humanities and sciences, drop out at high rates. It was determined that the University of Benin had a high undergraduate dropout rate. Consequently, among other recommendations, it was suggested that the administration of the University of Benin make every effort to create regulations that will lessen the number of student dropouts.
