ABSTRACT
This study delves into the prevalent issue of leadership style and its profound impact on the organizational performance of Guinness Nigeria Plc, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. The population of the study comprises of all the categories of staff of the functional departments within the organization. The size of the population was three hundred and twenty (320). A sample size of 178 was selected using the Taro Yamane formula. A comprehensive analysis of the collected data was conducted using SPSS version 20. Several significant findings have emerged from this analysis. The findings reveal that transformational leadership has a statistically significant positive relationship with organizational performance, indicating that increased transformational leadership practices are associated with enhanced organizational outcomes. Similarly, autocratic leadership also shows a positive relationship with organizational performance, suggesting that autocratic leadership practices contribute significantly to organizational success. Additionally, democratic leadership is found to have a statistically significant positive impact on organizational performance, demonstrating that democratic leadership practices enhance organizational effectiveness. Based on these findings, it is recommended that Guinness Nigeria Plc and organizations at large should adopt a balanced approach, integrating transformational, autocratic, and democratic leadership practices to optimize organizational performance and achieve sustainable growth.
