This project speaks volume over the issue in the Niger Delta Region. The people in that region face challenge of all kinds from bullying, to oppression, from dehumanization to deprivation and this is as a result of the corrupt government officials who are saddled with the responsibility of putting smile in the faces of people in that region but they act the contrary to these instructions. The study also explain these themes better with the help of some stylistic devices like parallelism, repetition, alliteration to further advance the plight of the people in that region. This project makes use of foregrounding as a theoretical background to explain and analyse the text. Since foregrounding explains the nature of literariness and also guide in the interpretation of the texts.
