ABSTRACT
This research investigates the knowledge of health implications of spice grinding among commercial grinders in Uselu market. The purpose of this study is to examine the health implications of spice grinding among commercial grinders in Uselu market in Edo state. The study is carried out amongst commercial spice grinders in Uselu market. The findings from this study shows the health issues faced by the commercial spice grinders and the knowledge of the spice grinders on these issues. The study also discussed the preventive measures and occupational safety measures that can be carried out to mitigate the effects of spice dust. Further studies are recommended to evaluate the long time implications of spice grinding and safety and health practices during spice grinding.
