ABSTRACT
Presbyopia is unavoidable as one grows in age, if uncorrected causes inability to see and do near work efficiently. Since secondary school teachers do a lot of near work and most are within the age bracket for presbyopia there is need for them to have proper knowledge and adequate correction of their presbyopia which is wearing o the correct lenses to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Descriptive cross sectional survey with simple random sampling technique was used to select 233 teachers from secondary school in Egor Local Governmemt Area, Benin City Edo state. A pretest structured questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. The data was exposed to statistical package for science for further analysis.
The knowledge of presbyopia was above a mean score of 2.18, this falls above 2.00, which indicates that the teachers h\ve fairly high knowledge of presbyopia and attitudes towards wearing of lenses was found to be poor, as it mean score falls below 2.00.
