ABSTRACT
This study examined Egor local government area older individuals' health-related ageing difficulties and health-seeking behaviours. Six research questions guided the study, providing valuable insights: identify health-related ageing problems among older adults in Egor local government area, identify health seeking behaviour among older adults, examine whether socio economic status influence health seeking behaviour, examine if age influence health seeking behaviour, and examine if
The study included all people in Egor Local Government Area, but 100 older persons were selected via convenient sampling. A systematic questionnaire collected data from respondents.
The survey found that elderly persons in Egor local government confront many health difficulties. Good things happen Age, sex, socioeconomic status, and educational background influence health seeking behaviour among older adults in Egor local government area.
The following recommendations are based on this study: Develop community-based health awareness programs for older individuals in Egor LGA. These programs should educate people on age-related health issues and encourage proactive health-seeking. In places with few healthcare facilities, mobile clinics or outreach initiatives can help older persons get healthcare. Additionally, current healthcare institutions should be outfitted to meet older folks' needs.
