Abstract
World Health Organization (WHO) Zero estimates indicated that one in every 20 adolescents and young people contact a Sexually Transmitted Infection/Diseases (STI/STD) every year each year. Young people may not seek help for STIs because they do not realize they have an infection or they are too embarrassed to go to a clinic or because they do not have access to treatment. ix Later-treated or untreated STIs can potentially hinder the adolescent long term health and fertility. Also safe legal abortion is rarely available and accessible outside the developed world. Unsafe abortion (which include the cause 13% global mortality) is common in places where abortion is illegal and tends to be more dangerous for adolescent as they tend to seek abortion later in pregnancy.
