ABSTRACT
Cholera as a water-borne disease is a disease that can be considered as a disease of the poor, affecting majorly those living in poor and unhealthy environment. Cholera cut across the Africa continent. This study was carried out to access the level of knowledge, attitude and practice of residents of Ekosodin. The study will look at the background of the study, statement of the problem research question, purpose of the study and the limitations of the study. The purpose of the study was clearly stated and the limitations of the study. The review of related literature contains write ups of scholars on Overview of Cholera, Causes and Incubation period of Cholera, Signs and Symptoms of Cholera, Diagnosis and Treatment of Cholera, Risk factors and Cholera Complications, Pivotal Role of Health Education in the Prevention of Cholera, Prevention and Control of Cholera, Knowledge of Cholera Prevention, Attitude and Practice towards Cholera Prevention. The method of the study adopted was the descriptive survey design and a simple random sampling technique was used in selecting the sample population for the study from Ekosodin. The population of the study was all residents in Ekosodin, with a total of 7000 residents. Questionnaire was shared to residents in Ekosodin. The data analysis was done with the assistance of the responses obtained from the administered questionnaires. The result will be used to test the various research questions raised in Chapter one. Based on the finding, conclusions will be drawn and recommendations will be made which will help in further studies on Cholera.
