ABSTRACT
This study investigated on knowledge and attitude of female teacherstowards cervicalcancerscreening in Warri South L.G.A. Three research questions were raised to guide the study. T
he study also adopted a descriptive survey research design and a simple random sampling technique was adopted to select 100 respondents who formed the sample population for the study. Questionnaire was used as the research instrument and the responses of the respondents to the questionnaire items was analysed using simple percentage.
The following were the findings: female teachers in Ovia North East Local Government, Benin City have positive attitude towards cervical cancer screening. Teachers in Ovia North East LGA do not frequently practice cervical cancer screening. The level of knowledge of cervical cancer screening among teachers in Ovia North East Local Government Area is very high. The following recommendations were made: female teachers in Ovia North East Local Government, Benin City should be encouraged to frequently practice cervical cancer screening; teachers should be counseled on the need for frequent practice cervical cancer screening test and awareness campaign should be focused on practice cervical cancer screening test.
