ABSTRACT
This study aimed to examine the knowledge and attitude of undergraduate students towards homosexuality and it's implication on social adjustment. The objectives were to explore the attitude of heterosexual students towards gay and lesbians students in the University of Benin; to examine the knowledge of students towards homosexuality in the University of Benin; to examine the social implication of students towards homosexuality and to proffer solutions to the incidence of homosexuality among undergraduate students in the University of Benin. The methodology involved the collecting of data with the use of the questionnaire. The data was analyzed and presented in tables. The findings showed that 70% of respondents are not comfortable with homosexuals, while 58% of the respondents agreed that homosexuality has implication on students social adjustment. Furthermore 53.3% of the respondents establish towards that the attitudes of heterosexual students towards homosexuality are undesirable. In conclusion, addressing the knowledge and attitude of undergraduate students towards homosexuality and it's implication on social adjustment is crucial. The study recommends that exposure to counseling for students who are homosexual as this will help them to disengaged from the heart. The government should also establish effective rehabilitation center for homosexuals in other to assist them recover from their deviant behaviour.
