This work examines the concept of justice in Locke‟s political philosophy. Locke concept is the recognition, protection and promotion of the rights of individuals. The protection and promotion of these rights is then based on consent which brings about legitimacy and the principle of separation of powers. But in our modern society, the concept of justice has serious political and social consequences. For example, the checks and balances that arises from the principle of separation of powers could be malicious thus slowing down the process of administration of justice in the state. This is the nature of our investigation and in achieving our goal, we shall employ the analytical method of inquiry which will enable us clarify key concepts and analyses the core theory.
