ABSTRACT

This study examined job satisfaction and employee productivity in Nigeria, using bar chart and pie diagram to represent the data gotten from the respondent to analyse the research question. Overall, findings from the study shows the impact of job satisfaction in employee productivity in Nigeria, focusing on the factors that influence and promotes job satisfaction in leading to the employee productivity. More so shows the relationship between job satisfaction and employee productivity. The findings reveals a positive relationship between job satisfaction and employee productivity, with every satisfaction an employee experience in return increase the productivity output employee puts in carrying organizational goals/ objectives.

From the foregoing, the study concluded and elaborated on the different factors that influences job satisfaction and employee productivity such as the individual factor, cultural factor, environmental factor and social factor. The theoretical views of different researchers who also studied how job satisfaction affects employee productivity. Based on the empirical findings of this study, we recommend among others that when an employee develops positive attitude towards his job it increases the quality and quantity of employees’ performance, this scenario is good for an organization. Better performances can be expected from the employees if organizations stress more on the well- being of employees which in turn create a satisfied employee. A satisfied employee is a powerful asset and can perform at its best to bring laurels to the organization.
