ABSTRACT

In an era defined by technological advancement, the Internet of Things (IoT) emerges as a pivotal concept, weaving a network of connectivity among devices, sensors, and everyday objects. This project embodies the essence of IoT, culminating in the creation of an IoT-based Smart Inverter System. The primary aim of this project was to develop a hardware prototype that fuses IoT and smart technologies, elevating energy management and facilitating the seamless integration of renewable energy sources. We started by researching and studying previous and similar works and methodologies carried out over the years which led to a selection of costeffective hardware and software components. Through rigorous testing, we gauge the system’s ability to handle varying loads, both sequentially and randomly. These tests unveiled a notable capacity to optimize energy utilization while maintaining an uninterrupted power supply. Central to our innovation is the development of a functional flow chart that orchestrates intelligent decision-making processes. This project finds its completion with the introduction of a userfriendly mobile application which allows end-users to effortlessly monitor and control electrical loads. This project's significance lies in its potential to revolutionize power management, particularly within the context of renewable energy integration. As global concerns for sustainable energy consumption grow, our creation serves as a beacon for a future characterized by intelligent, adaptive, and eco-conscious power solutions.
