ABSTRACT
Globalization and technology are key forces that drive innovation, productivity, and economic growth. But they also have been important factors behind the rise in inequalities we have witnessed with technological change playing a stronger role. Technology is the vital force in the modern form of business globalization. Technology has revolutionized the global economy and has become critical competitive strategy. It has globalized the world, which drive all the countries to more ethical standards. This work attempts to show how technology revolution is sweeping the globe and the transition from manual to electronic delivery of services both in public and private sector leads to advancement of business community throughout the world. Globalization has led to new market and information technology is one of the technologies fostered to the new market in this increasing competitive world. The research design adopted for this work is survey research design. The sample size of this study consisted of Three hundred (300) subjects drawn from the Ovia-North East Local Government Area sampled in Edo State. The study concluded that globalization is a sword of double edges that promote and demote economic activities of the developing nations, which Nigeria happens to be one them, in our manufacturing sector globalization had brought innovation, creativity, and diffusion and in the other hand contributed to the collapses of our infant industries. The study concludes amongst others that the sustainable industrialization and globalization is reducing the incomes of the third world country like Nigeria through a combination of devaluation of currencies, increase in cost of production and a collapse in commodity prices.
