ABSTRACT

This study was designed to investigate the utilization of digital storytelling in the comprehension of literature among JSS3 STUDENTS' in Oredo local government area. In other words, it was a study carried out by the researcher to highlight the importance of digital storytelling, how it can enhance the learning process of students and the steps to ensure the efficacy of digital storytelling in literature. Four research questions were formulated in carrying out this research. Four schools were used as samples and 80 students were respondents. The instrument used for collecting information was a questionnaire and simple percentage was used for the analysis of the data. It was observed that story telling is an effective method of teaching but there are few set back which are inefficiency of some teachers because of poor orientation and the challenges of lack of facilities, lack of school encouragement and many more. Vital recommendations were made in line with the findings and some included Teacher's training, Parental involvement, student’s engagement and motivation and collaborative learning.
