ABSTRACT

This study focuses on the inventory optimization of the University of Benin Table Water Factory using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The factory's professionals prioritize stability and optimality in the production process. Using mathematical expert models, the study aims to manage this problem. Through experimentation, a design matrix was chosen, a production process was carried out, and Design Expert Software was used to build the experimental matrix. The Response Surface Methodology was applied, and the Design Expert program was built on May 18, 2021, version 13.0.5 64-bit. Statistical diagnostics like ANOVA, goodness of fit, and surface plots were used to test the suitability, significance, outliers, and reliability of the quadratic models. This software offers a wide range of tools for data analysis, enabling users to explore relationships between variables, fit mathematical models, and optimize processes. The second order polynomial was chosen as the best model by the RSM model's results to explain the interaction between the process parameters and the various responses, and adequacy was seen. The second-order quadratic model had a decent coefficient determination (R2 ).
