ABSTRACT

Stock management is very important in retail stores especially in those that have large number of items like sales of building. The goal of inventory management is to balance supply and demand in order to keep customers satisfaction to drive profits. The most important benefit of an inventory management system is to save time and money. A Stock Management System is a tool used to track goods and services of a company. Inventory or stock management is a process that integrates the flow of supplies into, and out of an organization to ensure right quality at right cost. To overcome the challenges faced with the application of manual inventory system, this study decided to design an automated inventory   system to bring into full capacity and enable the management in taking fast decisions that could increase sales and build good customer relationship.

The proposed system was designed and implemented using the object-oriented development approach, using The JAVA programming Script. A system that will allow the user a prompt response to data and information request at the click of a mouse. The system contains a standard data base with the needed information and data that will assist the management in taking prompt and accurate decisions in respect to out-off stock, expired products and out about to expire drugs based on different time frame as desired by the user.
