Summary
The preceptorship programme was an intervention to improve the awareness and utilization of the primary health care by community dwellers centre in Ohoghobi Community, Ikpoba – Okha Local Government Area, Edo State. The researcher identified five problems requiring intervention, one of which was non – utilization of primary health centre. The information, motivation, behavioural skills (IMB) model was used as a theoretical frame work to guide the implantation of activities needed for behavioural change. After evaluation, the researcher found out that the intervention programme was successful.
