ABSTRACT
The study used purposive sampling with a sample size of 24 junior secondary school pupils. A 13-item validated questionnaire based on expert opinion was used for the study. The instrument's dependability was assessed using the split half approach, and the Pearson Product Moment correlation statistic was employed to evaluate it, providing a co-efficient of 0.70. The data was examined using means and standard deviation. The study's findings revealed that, among other things, interpersonal interactions impacted student academic performance at public junior secondary schools in Egor local government area, Edo State, and that interpersonal relationships differed depending on gender. Gender sensitive interpersonal connection measurements should be employed in secondary schools, and age compliant interpersonal relationship measures should be made available.
