Internet fraud, commonly referred to as "cybercrime," has become a pervasive issue in the digital age, posing significant challenges to societies worldwide. This abstract provides a thorough examination of the intersection between internet fraud and the lifestyle of youth residing in Ovia North East Local Government, Edo State, Nigeria. The youth population in this region, like in many others, is deeply influenced by the rapid advancement of technology and the allure of online opportunities. This study delves into the factors that drive youths in Ovia North East towards engaging in internet fraud activities, shedding light on the socio-economic circumstances, peer pressure, and the desire for quick wealth that often act as catalysts for such illicit behaviors.
