SUMMARY
Having examined the inter-group relations between Etsakor and Esan in the pre-colonial period, it has been discovered that these people had a wonderful relationship. They interacted and related at various level, politically, economically and socially. In fact, they related together peacefully such that the inter-communal and inter-group clashes and conflicts that have bedeviled the global world today was never mentioned among them. Etsakor and Esan people were a progressive and industrious people. They have a unique and distinct history. The people had attained great deal of social, economic and political developments in the pre-colonial times. They cultivated a number of crops using various techniques and implements. They also produced a number of crafts which they utilized as well as exchanged with their neighbours. The prosperity of the people rested on agriculture, trade or commerce, revenue from taxes and other local industries. These provided resources for the maintenance of the villages, communities, and clans.
