ABSTRACT

This research aimed to investigate Information and communication technology as a tool for creating job opportunities in Evbuomore community of Ovia North East LGA, Edo State. Four (4) research questions were provided to guide the study. The descriptive survey design was employed in the study, and the simple random sampling technique was used to select a total of one hundred and fifty respondents. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire. The instrument for data collection (questionnaire) was validated by the project supervisor and two other research professionals in the field after careful screening of the content, and reliability was established by using a pre-test of the instrument among twenty residents of Evbuomore community using the Test-retest method of which analysis using the Pearson product-moment correlation formula gave a correlation coefficient of 0.71. The data obtained were analyzed using frequency count and simple percentages.
