ABSTRACT

The objective of this research was to explore the gender disparities in human kinetics career opportunities among female sports enthusiasts within University of Benin, it reveals a complex interplay of social and institutional factors that influence career trajectories. The study utilized a survey research design, using structured questionnaire and quantitative analysis to gather and analyze data.

A sample of participants was selected based on age and gender of female athletes from a university sports program. The questionnaire addressed the discrimination that female athletes face in the workplace and the degree to which the Human Kinetics program's unequal funding hinders their development and recognition. Significant obstacles still exist, such as gender stereotypes, unequal access to resources, and a lack of professional prospects, despite the increased acceptance and support for women's participation in sports.

These differences are visible in a number of areas, including media coverage, income inequities, and representation in leadership positions. The abstract also explores how legislative reforms, activism, and educational programs might help to lessen these disparities. This study also explores how lobbying, policy modifications, and educational programs can lessen these disparities. The study comes to the conclusion that job prospects in human kinetics for female sports fans are significantly impacted by gender differences.
