The review of related literature which Started with theoretical framework revealed that gestalt theory and bf Skinner theory is related to the present study. Gestalt theory emphasizes wholeness which implies that teachers should try developing into children an integrated approach to learning and the solution to problem. While BF Skinner theory emphasis on modifying the behavior to modify the environment which implies that environment produces a behavior which could either be positive or negative on learning skills. The variables considered are student’s time management, study habits and academic performance. This review also showed that time management and study habits have been perceived as an important influence on academic performance. It has also been revealed that time management and their study habits is likely to have a significant difference on their academic performance by many researchers. The disparity on student’s Time management and their study habits on their academic performance have been attributed to quality of the teacher and nature of the instructional material. Students’ academic performance may be high, low, positive or negative depending on the attitude developed towards their study habits on the subject.

Though studies have shown time management and study habits to have significant and non-significant influence on students’ academic performance, there has not been any report on influence of time Management and study habits on academic performance on these variables in   Ika   south local government area of delta state hence, this study attempt to determine the influence of these variables on the academic Performance of students in Ika South local government area of Delta state.
