ABSTRACT

This study examines sanitary pad advertisment and it's Influence on female (UNIBEN EKEHUAN CAMPUS) students, in Benin City, Edo state. This study became necessary following the assumption that Sanitary pad requires regular advertisment using the different media so as to enhance sales. This study was anchored on agenda setting theory. The survey design was adopted for the study with a sample of 290 (UNIBEN), Ekehuan Campus, female students purposively selected from the three(3) department of (UNIBEN) Ekehuan Campus. Data obtained were analyzed and presented with the aid of frequency tables and simple percentages. It was found out that Sanitary pad television advertisement stimulates customers desire for Sanitary pad. Therefore, the study concludes that sanitary pad television advertisement promotes good gratification that enhances consumers patronage. The study recommended that advertisment of Sanitary pad on television should be sustained and advertising agency responsible for sanitary pad television advertisement should focus more on running Sanitary pad advertisment on television in the evening so as to pave way for Sanitary pad customers who happen to be more of students to watch the advertisement during their resting hours, among other things.
