ABSTRACT
This study examines stress and stress management in Edo state sports commission combat athletes. This study has three questions. For this study, a descriptive survey research design was used. The survey included 242 Edo state sports commission combat athletes. The survey sampled 51 athletes. The sample for the study was chosen by a random sampling process. Study data was collected using a self-structured questionnaire. The project supervisor and two other university of Benin Human Kinetics and Sports Science professionals validated the questionnaire. The validated, amended instrument was the final draft. It was examined using mean and standard deviation. This study found that Edo State Sports Commission combat athletes experience stress from many causes. This study also examines stress management methods.
