ABSTRACT
Social work, as a specialty that frequently interacts with individuals, has generally concluded that people cannot be regarded and treated thoroughly without taking their belief systems into account. Social workers are supposed to exercise extreme caution when determining a client's' spiritual or religious demand, but not much is known about the level at which social workers in Nigeria have received this expectation. Therefore, it is relevant to probe social workers’ perception and attitudes toward religion and spirituality. This research work is segmented into five chapters. Chapter one contains the background of the study, statement, objectives and research question. Chapter two deals with the review of relevant literatures among others. Chapter three talks about methods of data collection and analysis. Chapter four deals with the analysis of the data collected and the discussion of the results. Chapter five contains the summary of the study, conclusion and recommendation.
