ABSTRACT
The research work is on Influence of some Sociological variables on Human Trafficking in Benin Metropolics, four research questions were raised to guide the study, this are;What are the Influence of Sociological Variables in Human Trafficking in Benin Metropolis.What are the Sociological variables that responsible for Human Trafficking in Benin Metropolis. What are factors that encourage victim to embark on human trafficking. What are the measures to discourage human trafficking among people living in Benin Metropolis.
Descriptive survey design was adopted, the population comprises of 16O families from four different wards in Benin Metropolis. the statistical techniques was employed using mean and standard deviation. Based on the findings from data collected it was discovered that the influence of some sociological variable on Human trafficking in Benin Metropolis are the desire to have better way of lives, Fake Job Opportunities Promises abroad, Lack of unemployment in the country, Oppression by parents and guidance and Profit from trafficking Agents.
The following recommendations are hereby suggested. Government should Create enough employment opportunities to meet the needs their citizens. Government create skill acquisition centres and also support those who has acquired skills. Strong laws should be enforced to punish human traffickers. Government should create publicity through mass media to discourage people to embark on unlawful travelling. Government should grant access to education for the people.
