The results of the study show that socioeconomic variables have an enormous effect on how well students do in school. Parental income has been identified as an important factor, with higher-income households frequently producing superior academic results because they have more access to educational resources and a conducive learning environment. The importance of parental involvement and knowledgeable advice is further shown by the favourable correlation between parental education levels and students' performance. Parental occupation also stands up as a significant influence, with skilled and professional jobs encouraging a culture of learning at home and better access to academic help. In contrast, students from families with low-paying or uncertain occupations have financial challenges that might impede their academic advancement. It has been discovered that access to educational materials, such as textbooks, technology, and the Internet, is crucial in determining academic achievement. Students who have sufficient access to these materials have enhanced capacities for independent learning and research. The need for Egor Local Government Area to overcome socioeconomic inequalities in its educational system is highlighted by these findings. Distributing resources fairly, implementing targeted financial assistance programs, promoting parental education, and establishing community-based support systems are all recommended. Additionally, minimizing the impact of socioeconomic determinants on academic achievement requires investing in teacher development and school-based interventions.
