ABSTRACT
The study investigated influence of social media on youth in benin city during 2020 Endsars protest. Four objectives and research questions guided the study. The study adopted an survey research design. The population comprises 1,086,882 youths in three local government area of Edo State. The sample size for the study was 378 . Findings revealed that social media were used to mobilize people towards participation in the #EndSARS protest. Also the level of youth understanding content of the agitation on social media in Edo State was high and also the #EndSARS protest was a well-organized protest. Based on the findings, the researcher recommended that there should be a way of educating and enlightening people on certain ethics of social media and consequence of violating them and also social media should be encouraged in all institution.
