ABSTRACT
This study investigated the influence of school management practices on learning outcomes in Oredo local government (5) research questions were raised for the study. The study adopted survey research design. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire; it was built around the research questions by the researcher and validated by the researcher’s supervisor. Data collected were analyzed using frequency count, percentages The findings from this study provide valuable insights into the management practices in schools within Oredo Local Government. The data revealed diverse perceptions and experiences regarding disciplinary measures, alignment with cultural context, stakeholder involvement, development initiatives, review processes, and implementation strategies. While there are areas of strength, such as the emphasis on continuous learning and stakeholder engagement, there are also areas for improvement, including enhancing disciplinary measures, strengthening alignment with cultural values, fostering greater stakeholder involvement, and improving review and implementation processes Based on the findings, it was recommended that school management should Schools should consider incorporating a comprehensive approach to disciplinary measures, including preventive strategies, restorative justice practices, and support systems for students' socio-emotional development. School administrators should prioritize cultural sensitivity training for staff and develop strategies to better align management practices with local cultural values and traditions. Schools should actively involve stakeholders, including parents, community members, and students, in decision-making processes, policy development, and school activities to foster a sense of ownership and collaboration. Invest in professional development programs, mentoring, and coaching opportunities for stakeholders to enhance their skills, knowledge, and capacity to contribute effectively to school management. Implement robust and inclusive review processes that involve diverse stakeholders and ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in school management practices. Implement leadership development programs focused on nurturing transformational and democratic leadership styles among school administrators. Provide training and support to empower leaders in inspiring and motivating teachers and students. Foster greater community involvement in school management through initiatives such as parent-teacher associations, volunteer programs, and community forums. Collaborate with local leaders and stakeholders to create a culture of partnership and support for schools. Advocate for increased funding for schools and ensure equitable distribution of resources. Develop strategies to address infrastructure issues, reduce teacher turnover rates, and streamline bureaucratic processes to optimize resource allocation and utilization.
